As a settler on the unceded territories of the Tsleil-Waututh and Squamish Nation, I will make sure that reconciliation and working collaboratively with the Nations is in the front of all policies I endorse. The current council started this work by voting to implement the municipal specific Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and I will continue this work in good faith

Creating an explicit definition of affordable housing tied to income or minimum wage. Endorsing a housing first strategy. A short term rental strategy tied in with student housing demands. The City of North Vancouver is working diligently on creating a healthcare hub around Lions Gate Hospital, but with traffic as it is in our community, we need more options. The District of North Vancouver needs to explore how it can better support the health of residents, especially east of the Seymour River.Full Health Platform Here
Improving Civic Engagement
We have only grazed the surface of digital engagement. The DNV needs to become a leader in using technology to connect with citizens and improve transparency. This is especially important in improving civic participation.Full Civic Engagement Platform Here
The current council has been very effective at ensuring the DNV is a leader when it comes to environmental stewardship. We must continue this work, and petition senior governments to allow local governments more power to be leaders in climate action.Full Environmental Platform Here
Efficient Planning & Spending
Taxes and costs continue to rise, yet the returns are not always seen. We need to be more effective with our spending to avoid further frustration.
